A look back on 2015

Happy New Year!!! 2015 was a wonderful year with many ups and downs in our world.

Last Year I told myself I would blog and blog and blog about our life and the kids growing so fast. But I let the year slip me by. Time has gone by faster than I could have imagines!! I didn't achieve my goal which I thought would be an easy one!! But gosh it was tough and both my computers crashed and I thought I could use my smart phone. Anyways it just didn't happen the way I planned. Looking back at old pictures on facebook and instagram and my phone make me sad how fast these kids are growing before my eyes!!! So I promise myself no matter how hard it gets and how fast the day slips by me I will record them much more!!!! I'll also be doing a lot vlogging on my youtube channel My Channel as much as possible. I want to be to look back at my babies and their growth and share with the world and family. SO please join us as we get a bit silly and serious at times and share our life with the public.

What will you find here and on my channel???? Well a bit of everything. I started my channel as a beauty channel because I love makeup so much and I was a bored SAHM. No adays I've gotten into so much more in life. I've always been into food and recipes and have taken that passion on as I went through a new lifestyle change. A few years back I became a Vegan. I'm more of a Vegetarian now because I just love cheese, but eat mainly Vegan. With that I'd love to share my recipes with you. My family doesn't eat fully Vegetarian so you'll be seeing meat as well. Also I have a new job as a cook/manager at my daughter Elementary School, I just love it so much. on youtube I've gotten more into watching family videos which has inspired me to share mine with you. Join us this New Year with little peices of our lives.


So here's a recap on 2015

We got to eat most of our meals from my huge garden I planted this year!!! We even got my daughter an Apple tree for her birthday. Some good organic goodness!!!
I've lost almost 20 pounds from eating mainly all fruits and vegetables. But I hope to gain about 10 pounds back this year. Why??? Well I just have one of those body types that loses all curves with weight lose. I'd like to get them back. Along with some toning up this year. Which reminds me I bought the Tone It Up book and it's amazing!! I'm going to touch more on that in another post.

My girls took on an instrument this year. Briella is playing the Cello and Kaleigh is playing the Violin. Both beautiful strings and they are working hard on them.

This is Hubby & I at my cousins wedding. It was beautiful and so much fun!! Loved seeing the Family I haven't see in awhile!!! We wore matching black and red!! I thought we were pretty good looking that night!!!

The girls enjoying the amzingly warm and gorgeous Fall we had this year!! This was at one of my sons Cross Country meets. Due to the fact I haven't had a computer for half the year I don't have very many pictures in this new one.

Last Month we went to Vegas for our Anniversary. My dream of going to Paris was closely filled by Hubby & I celebrating our Anniversary at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant. They even had a vegetarian meal for me.

It was a blast and a much needed Mommy & Daddy Vacation. 

Devin does Track in the Spring & Cross Country in the Fall. The girls love cheering their big Brother on. He even won an award and plaque in his honor. Next year he'll be in High School but he gets to go back for the first meet and shoot the gun.

My Husband might kill me for this one!!!! But damn he's the sexiest Husband in the whole world!

Aren't they just darling! They are in the 4th grade this year. Learning lot's of new things. Home has gotten harder and they are reading more and working hard.

Halloween. One of our favorite holidays!!! The girls were Monster High's this year. Of coarse Devin and my nephew didn't want a picture taken.

The girls were in the Christmas Parade walking Santa to his Village. It was so exciting for them!!

We waited almost 6 hours for Santa. Yup you heard that right. We are nuts!!!

Oh and we got a new member to our family this year!!!! A bunny and it was Kaleigh's turn to name a pet this time. She named her Carrots and she's the cutest and sweetest little baby bunny.

This was Thanksgiving. We had the Family over and it was such a lovely day. Sadly my mom had surgery so my parents couldn't come over. The weather has been so Gorgeous and warm this year. I fear by next year the girls might get almost as tall as me. I've excepted the fact that I'm small and everyone is out growing me. Hahhaaaa

Well I don't wan to go too crazy with this post so that's all for now!!! What a lovely year we have had and i hope to have an even better on this year!!

Our Camping Trip

Hello world!!! We our back from our annual camping trip. 9 days with 5 kids and some rain but we survived. It was really nice to get away for a bit and not have to worry about the house and bills and everyday life. Our 2 nephews came with us, which keeps our older one busy since he has 2 little sisters.

Camping is our favorite little get away. It's fairly cheap and everyone has a great time. We went to the beach, where I got burnt like always. We had a scavenger hunt that was so much fun I recommend every family to do one at least once in your life lol. I made a list for everyone and gave them all bags. We all just went through the camp ground and woods looking for things like flowers,acorns,pinecones,something yellow,a feather and more. I loved seeing what everyone found.

During the last weekend we celebrated our youngest 9th birthday. The whole family came up and we went to the beach and cooked on the girl and has cake and drinks by the fire. She got a camper and a jeep for her American Girl Doll so that was the high light of her trip.

It was a great trip and hopefully before the summer ends we can go back for at least a weekend. Ughhh now I'm still doing laundry and putting away all this camping crap. Feels like we took half the house with us!!

My oldest turns 14

Wow where does the years go?? 14 years ago I gave birth to my first child, Devin Louis. This kid has grown up do darn face it seriously makes my head spin. His last visit a few months back to the pedestrians office confirmed him being 5'8 and 150 pounds. Oh my not a baby anymore that's for damn sure. That makes him 8 inches taller than me and I'm pretty sure he may have grown an inch since then.

I remember bring him home for the first time. This tiny little bundle of joy on a hot Summers day. We lived in this tiny little apartment on the 3rd floor learning to be parents for the first time. He had blonde hair and blue eyes looking like a mini version of my husband. Then he grow into the funniest wildest little boy. So much energy came from this cute little guy. I remember him banging his head crying at my mom's house cause I had to leave him and go to work. I would cry driving to work wishing I could just turn around and scoop him back up. He's daddy would parade him around cars shows with his friends and we would go swimming and take him camping during the summer.

Watching little boys grow up is a ton of fun but I was meant to only have one!! We had 2 little girls after our rough tough messy little boy. He ran around the yard with sticks and searched for worms in the yard. He played rough and got extremely dirty all time. Back then he thought he was a power ranger and an army guy all in one. Kept me on my toes from morning till night. I had to climb in his car bed and read him like 7 books before he fell asleep for the night.

By the time he was 7 we bought our very own house with a huge backyard and a new puppy to to entertain all that boy energy he held. He grew so fast and became a great student and and amazing track star. Devin will be going to 8th grade this year, his last year in the middle school. His hair has become darker and curler and his eyes changed to a beautiful green. His big dimple remains the same. He's a great big brother to his younger sisters and loves animals,video games and the solar system!!

Vacation is over

Well the kids and I have been on Christmas for the past two weeks. It's been nice to be home with the kids. Though it seemed to go by very fast.

I still need to take down the Christmas tree. Yesterday would have been perfect but I guess I just got to lazy to do it. Well I have all week when I get out of work. Also I'm ready to take down my Christmas decorations with the tree.

The girls were very excited to wear their new outfits and boots they got from Grandma for Christmas. They are so cute and at such a cute age right now. Hope they are always so close. I know them wanting to wear matching clothes might not last too many more years so for now I'm soaking up the cuteness.

Going back to work was kinda hard for me today. I got used to staying up late and then waking up and just lounging with my cup of coffee and watching youtube videos.  Though I work only 4 and half hours I was so tired after work today.

We'll our day went well. Nothing exciting. The girls had their after school program today. Now they are sleeping and Hubby and I are watching devin play xbox with my nephew online.

Happy Monday time to start relaxing and off to bed! Can't wait for some coffee in the am.

Oh and on a side note my hair is looking very red todau. Ughhh I should stop messing with it. Should have left my perfect blonde alone.... Grr

Sunday Funday

We're having a pretty lazy day over here at the DuHaime's. Been lazing around drinking coffee and the kids on their new tablets from Santa. Hubby and I went grocery shopping and that's about it. Now the boys are playing video games and the girls are getting ready to play Sorry. Even the dogs are being lazy today hehe.

Tomorrow is back to school for the kids and back to work for me. The perks of being a lunch lady I get to have all the same days off as the kids do. We had a nice vacation even though it's gone by so darn fast. The kids played with all their new stuff from Santa. It finally snowed around here yesterday and it's been yucky out all day today.

We took a picture of the 2015 ice sculpture down the street today it's so cool looking and barely melted yet. Also the whole road is blocked cause a plow truck hit and killed a guy going for a morning run. Crazy. I feel like a lot of things have been happening around here. Lots of house fires lately too, very sad.

Well not much to write about today cause its just been a day of relaxing.  Good day for coupons though. We go 4 inserts today. Yay can't wait to see what deals there are fir this week. Haven't couponed in a couple weeks because of the holiday and I used all my extra care bucks up on last minute Christmas stuff.

So for New Years we stayed home with the kids and had a lot of fun. We used our new popcorn maker that grandma gave us for Christmas. We goofed around and laughed a lot. Also watched the all the entertainers in NYC and the ball drop on TV.

I love NYE it gives hope to a new start for a fresh new year!!! Also a reminder that my birthday is next week and that I'm going to be old. HEHEE but also getting a pinch closer to Spring!!! Ughhh as I type and the snow is fall so fast outside. I do hope this year is a great one and less stressful then the past year.

I'm so excited for all the things we can do this year though. Winters are long here and seem to never end. Though we haven't had much of any snow this year. Again it's snowing right now as a speak and it's annoying me!!!! LOL Snow is very pretty and I love watching the kids have fun in it but I just hate the cold weather and that it's 4pm and already getting dark out. Well Spring will come right??? Then I get to garden and be outside with the kids playing in the yard with the dogs. We love opening our pole and spending the day outside with the kids. Summer is my favorite time of year. I just love hot long sunny days!!!! We play cards by the pool and cook on the grill and chase the dogs around the yard!! Oh and did I mention my garden! Heehee I just love to garden. I live in a cold state but Summer is my all time favorite. It's also when we get to go camping, which is always my favorite time with the Family. Fall is pretty too!!! That's my second favorite time. You never know if it will stay warm here or get cold quickly. The colors of Fall our my favorite all it's beautiful colors and smells. I'm Pumpkin obsessed!! Also I really love decorating for Fall time and Halloween is the funnest Holiday. Then Winter will come creep up on us pretty fast like every year. It gets very cold and the days are very short. We just like to drink coffee (maybe some wine) cuddle and watch a lot of netflix.

Well I am excited to see what 2015 has in store for the Family & I this year! Maybe I'll win the lottery and buy a log cabin and some boobs oh and all the makeup in the world. We can go on Vacation to Disney and take the kids to a really nice fun spot for our Summer vacation.!!!!! Oh who am I kidding!! Day dreaming is fun though. I'll be over here cutting my coupons and couponing the crap out of my drugstore beauty items. Working on my budget and meal planner. But also enjoying my crazy silly family and making lasting memories with them!! Even if it is just writing in the driveway with chalk and baking with the kids or cuddling with my Hubby and drinking some wine. But please 2015 I'd ask you nicely to make my kids a bit neater around the house!!! Also maybe the dogs can stop getting into the garbage and leaving big messes for Mama to clean up before coffee time!! Thanks

Back to School 2014

Well the kiddos are back to school. That means I'm back to my regular job at the high school.

This has to the the fastest summer ever. It just flew by so darn fast. I want Summer back. I don't know if it's because I took a summer job or what???? I never got my summer tan I wanted and I barely used my pool. Butttt I do love Fall. It's my favorite season besides Summmer. I just love the Fall colors and I absolutely love Pumpkins and Sunflowers!!!! In my next post I will share my Autumn Decor!!

Ok so here are the kids back to school!! Kaleigh and Briella are in 3rd grade and Devin is in 7th... OMG yes 7th grade. I remember when he was in preschool with his baby blanket and doggie in his back pack. Where the he'll has the time gone??? I'm starting to feel old over here. He's so big we bought him a size 11.5 sneakers. Yup that's right my kids gonna be a freaking giant while I'm over here shrinking into a midget!! LoL.

The girls are so adorable this year. Briella is really into clothes and dressing up. She's my little fashonista!! Kaleigh loves pretty clothes too but she's more all about enjoying each moment of life. That are just too cute!

Summer 2014

Summer Summertime! !

Summer has been flying by so fast this year. I can not believe we have enter August already. Just crazy I tell ya.

We haven't done a whole lot this summer. I took on a summer job giving free meals to children. It's rewarding and I like the hours and the girls I work with.

So far we have gobe camping twice, once for a weekend and once for 8 days. One beach trip and a lot of pool time and hanging out in the yard and gardening. Hopefully we can get back to camp one more time before School starts. The kids and I go back on the 27th. Time has gone by fast. Wish winter would go by this fast but far chance there!!!

Just wanted to share some pictures of our summertime!!

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer. So far I have read two books by my favorite author Elin Hilderbrand, Summerland and the Match maker. Love her books I read them every summer. Every one at work has talked me into ready 50 shades of grey so that's next on my list.

Hubby Lunches

Hello Welcome back to my Food blog!!
Today I got to work at the kids school again!! I love seeing them and all their friends!! Everyone always says hi and gets all excited when they see me!!!
My son is taking the CMT's this month. The crazy thing is he likes it!! Haha when I was younger I hated any kind of tests!!

So I wanted to share some of Hubby's lunches I made him. I like to make a few days at a time sometimes even the whole week depending on what I'm making him!! I made some egg salad sandwiches for a couple days!! One I put on ciabatta bras and the other on this really yummy whole grain bread!!! Over the weekend I made him chicken salad sandwiches so the leftover I put in a salad for him!!

I mainly pack him cold lunches because its easier but somedays he'll get leftovers from the dinner before! Like on Sunday I made homemade sauce and meatballs!!

I eat some type of salad everyday for lunch!! Unless I'm really cold and want something nice and warm, salad it is!! I just love salad so much :)
